Christine Golembiewski

Please help your second grader study his/her spelling words every night. Don't wait until the night before the test to start studying. Spelling tests are usually on Fridays, unless otherwise noted on the spelling homework.

Please be sure your child reads every night. Students have reading logs to be filled in each time they read and handed in on the due date. Third graders are also reading chapter books in our reading groups and writing summaries when we are finished.

My name is Mrs. Golembiewski, however, the students call me
“Mrs. G.” This will be my eighteenth year at Highlands Elementary School. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education. My background will enable me to provide an enriching school experience for your child. I am looking forward to an exciting and fulfilling year with the students!

Please check your child's folder and planner daily for assignments.

There will be math, spelling, and reading homework almost every day. Please let me know if there were any problem areas so that I may work with your child the next day on those skills.

Please check your child’s folder every day to ensure that the homework is completed and let me know if there were any problem areas. Please remove any papers in the "Keep at Home" side of the folder.

Open communication is the key to a successful school year for your child. Please feel free to express any questions or concerns to me throughout the year by writing a note or contacting me at school.
